A New Custom Home to Live, Love, and Grow

Before the construction drawings for this new custom home were finalized, the owners approached

Luminesio asking to design the layouts and select the materials for five of their bathrooms.

After a few virtual conversations, and taking the time to fully understand their vision, Luminesio's design team recommended using Calcutta marble, Onyx, and Carrara marble as primary materials for all five bathrooms.

The rest of the architectural elements and fixtures would complement the spaces in a traditional style. As you walk into the Primary Bath, the first thing that grabs your attention is the onyx slab with lighted panels behind highlighting the beauty of this translucent stone inside the shower. A freestanding oval tub was placed under the majestic arched window and across from the doubled vanities.

As an innovative concept, the makeup vanity has a piano-hinged countertop and when open, the underside is a mirror, so that it doesn't block the window looking into the backyard. Large format Calcutta marble-eques porcelain tiles are embracing the rest of the space on the floors and walls.

The luxurious Powder Room is covered in polished white Onyx including the vessel sink. The large mirror emerging out of the counter and touching the detailed ceiling is backlit to accentuate the translucency of the onyx wall. To complete the luxe feel and look, the custom floating black vanity features curved mullions and a thick quartz countertop while the faucet, hardware, accessories, and lights feature a champagne bronze finish.

One of the Boy’s Bathrooms has a black and white theme, defined by large Carrara porcelain tiles, basketweave mosaic Carrara stone, Nero Marquina dots, black cabinetry, and gold fixtures. The other Boy’s Bathroom features a royal blue and white theme defined by Carrara porcelain tiles on the walls and floors, gold and chrome fixtures, blue cabinetry, white paneling, and white dentil crown molding. In the Girls’ Bath a decorative French style vanity, with ornate elements and cabriole legs exhibits luxury as well as beauty. The look is complemented with Crema Marfil marble, Calacatta gold marble on the floor and walls, then gold finish fixtures, and wall sconces.

Happy with the transformation, the clients enthusiastically explained, “Finally, we're building our dream home! We love marble and are so happy to see it featured in our home the way that we always wanted"
