Just Add Water

The homeowner wanted to update the primary bath to promote a sense of cleanliness and function while providing total relaxation.

Luminesio designers started the transformation by selecting a symphony of earthly materials to define this open-concept modern bath. On the vanity mirrors, blue picket tiles were selected and then installed horizontally to emulate a waterfall cascading from the ceiling onto the backsplash. Floating vanity cabinets in a warm wood stain finish continue the natural feeling of the space.

Across the room, the freestanding tub and the frameless walk-in-shower are veiled in an organic combination of large format engineered limestone and soft gray wood porcelain tiles. The large-format limestone tiles bridge the bathroom from one end to the other by continuing the types of tile used from the floor up onto the wall behind the sinks as a backsplash.

The knee wall covered with the soft gray wood porcelain tiles and a stone ledge was built to store more towels, shampoos, and toiletries. To further complete the homeowner's desired look, a three-dimensional ceramic wall sculpture was introduced as an accent element.

Ultimately, this homeowner felt that their primary bath was complete with the newfound sense of practicality for their busy mornings and serenity for meditative evenings.
